One of the most common signs of CPU failure is the random freezing of your computer, usually after just logging into the operating system. The system won’t respond to any of your instructions. The mouse freezes on the screen and any attempt to use the keyboard will result in a series of short beeps.
How can I test my CPU problem?
For the CPU, a visual check requires you to remove the CPU from the computer. Once the CPU is removed, check for bent pins on the side that is inserted into the motherboard. If you find a bent pin, that’s likely causing issues with the CPU and computer.

How do you check a CPU?
Right-click your taskbar and select “Task Manager” or press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to launch it. Click the “Performance” tab and select “CPU.” The name and speed of your computer’s CPU appear here. (If you don’t see the Performance tab, click “More Details.”)
