You can archive a text conversation, call, or voicemail from your Google Voice inbox without deleting it. If someone replies to a conversation you archived, the messages show up in your inbox. Touch and hold the conversation, call, or voicemail you want to archive.
What’s the point of archiving texts?
By studying archived content, managers can see where messages are typically unclear or badly phrased, and help employees in crafting better communications.
How long do texts stay in archive?
It will remain there for 30 days. After this period of time, it will be permanently deleted and can no longer be retrieved or viewed. Archiving an email only removes it from your Inbox. It will remain so indefinitely, but the action can be undone at any time.
What happens if you get a text from archived chat?
Archiving a chat doesn’t delete the chat or back it up to your SD card. Archived individual or group chats will stay archived when you receive a new message from that individual or group chat. You will not receive notifications for archived chats unless you are mentioned or replied to.
